Who We Are

"Who We Are"

Our Purpose, Path & Big Picture

Our Purpose

"Developing Well-Balanced Believers Who Flavor The World!"

This simple statement anchors our church and guides everything we do. In essence, it’s us in a nutshell. What’s more, it is Kingdom-Centered, and given to us by our King...JESUS (Matthew 5:13-16). Lastly, it molds our hearts, determines our actions, and aligns both our corporate & individual efforts.

Our Path

Dine • Disciple • Dish Out

Our Purpose is what we're about; our Path is how we get there. It provides "next steps" for people to grow in relationships with God, our church, our community and our world.

DINE

Dining is a lifestyle of one delightfully indulging in daily communion with The Father and putting Him first. It is a loving response to God's goodness and mercy mixed with our hunger and thirst for Him. It includes, but is not limited to attending weekend worship services, reading the bible to get to know Jesus, praying to God, and praising Him. Thus, just as natural eating is a non-negotiable necessity for life, so it is with spiritual eating – without the proper spiritual nourishment (on a consistent basis), one is doomed!

Disciple

We partake in the discipleship process by joining a group or a team to grow in both Christ and community. This could be a small group, a women's group, a men's group, a service team, etc. The key is to connect with other Christ followers so you can experience genuine family love (in the Kingdom), have accountability, gain stability, be enriched, become developed into Salt & Light and ultimately glorify God by Flavoring Your World.

Dish Out

In God’s Kingdom it is about us reflecting the compassionate character of Christ by sharing and being selfless, not selfish. Therefore, we constantly dish out F.L.A.V.O.R. by using our God-given gifts to serve God and others. This happens on and off the church campus, and is a great way to make new friends and to share the love of Jesus. Before any weekend service, special event, or ministry activity, we ask these questions: Will it help people to have a better dining experience with God and the Flavor Family? Will it help people become better disciples of Christ? Will it give people the opportunity to dish out what they’ve received, serve better and take ownership? Together, as we move along this Path, the Holy Spirit will help us fulfill our God-given Purpose, and realize our flavorful vision for the future, which we call our Big Picture.

Our Big Picture

Our Big Picture is our vision for the future of Flavor Church. It is where we are headed. The vision reflects what we value. Our vision is to be "A Five-Star, Non-Denominational, Multi-Cultural, Bible-Teaching, Christ-Centered, Spirit- Filled, Inter-Generational, Kingdom Ministry!" Thereby enabling us to successfully Flavor our World for Jesus, ultimately fulfilling The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), while also being Spirit-Empowered Witnesses Everywhere (Acts 1:8).

We believe our vision is so important, compelling and Spirit-led that we’ve developed a specific prayer for each of these key ingredients:

Five-Star "Lord, may the people of Flavor be passionate about offering you their best and may they value quality, so that their lives and service can shine bright; expressing the Glory of your Kingdom to the world at-large and may it always be served in five-star excellence."

Non-Denominational "Lord, may the people of Flavor always be more passionate about their covenant relationship with you rather than their limited affiliation with a particular religious camp, fellowship, association and/or man-made denomination."

Multi-Cultural "Lord, may the people of Flavor always be passionate about the spiritual health of precious souls who are made up of every flavor and/or persuasion, because Christ lovingly came, sacrificed & died for the eternal benefit of all souls, regardless of their origin, ethnicity or nationality.”

Bible-Teaching "Lord, may the people of Flavor always crave, hunger and thirst for the wealth of life-shaking revelation, wisdom and nourishment that is found within your Holy Word, for man shall not live by bread alone (Matthew 4:4)."

Christ-Centered "Lord, may the people of Flavor always remain submitted to the Lordship of Jesus, keeping Him at the center of every facet of their lives."

Spirit-Filled "Lord, may the people of Flavor always passionately embrace the Fruit, Discipline & Dynamite Power that a real Spirit-Filled Life provides; so that they can produce, dominate all things and avoid fulfilling the lust of the flesh."

Inter-Generational "Lord, may Flavor be a Kingdom community where every generation engages with one another."

Kingdom-Centered "Lord, may the people of Flavor always passionately seek your Kingdom first.”

“Lord, may they have a contagious zeal to share the gospel so that many may come to know Christ."

"And Lord, may the entire Flavor Kingdom joyfully serve the poor and needy in very personal and practical ways (Matthew 25:35-36)."

"And finally Lord, may the people of Flavor excel in the grace of giving."

As we fulfill our Purpose, and follow our Path, we believe the byproduct will be God helping us realize our Big Picture-our vision for the future.
